Good Quality.. worth to spend money on that. [Posted on 2007-11-20] Excellent quality. Fast writing speed and robust. Nice way to handle USB Cable.

Good HD but don't use the software! [Posted on 2008-06-11] The hard drive is lightweight and so far seems to work well and looks durable. The cord is a bit shorter than I would have liked, but it's at least as long as the Western Digital Passport's cord.
One tip: Do not use the security software that comes with the hard drive! First, it's a pain in the neck because, if you use it, you can only access the hard drive from a computer that has the software installed. You can't just put a password on it and take the drive anywhere. There may be another software package available (TrueCrypt?) that can protect your data.
For me, it also made the hard drive unreadable. I called Customer Support, which by the way is excellent, and the gentleman on the other end walked me through steps to fix the problem and told me not to use that software. He didn't know why it even came with the drive. The drive problem was fixed, but the data that was there before I installed the software was lost. Luckily it was still on my desktop.
I wouldn't let this software issue detract you from buying what, so far, has been a good hard drive. Just make sure you never install the software!
In case it matters to you, my drive was made in Japan, which, in my experience, has more consistent quality levels that stuff made in China which is a great value when it works, but it also has a larger chance of being non-functional.
