Good Price for Hard to Find Standard Size 19" LCD [Posted on 2008-03-18]
We are very pleased with the 2 Acer flat panel monitors that we purchased in February. In our office, everyone has two monitors on their desk so our preference is NOT to use Widescreen monitors. This was one of the few that we could find that was a standard size with good specifications. No problems to date. They were easy to connect and immediately recognized to our system via the installed Matrox video card.
Acer 19" Standard Screen [Posted on 2008-05-28]
I purchased this Monitor about 2 months ago and it is working perfectly. Up until this time, I was using a 15" CRT monitor and this one is so much nicer, bigger, and saves lots of space. Easy to install, adjust and read off of. I do a lot of technical reading/viewing and this standard sized screen was much preferred over a widescreen model. I love it, and the price made it a very easy purchase.
"Big" Mistake [Posted on 2008-06-07]
This monitor has great colors and I liked it, but it's TOO BIG. I don't know how people can use such a large monitor. I pushed it all the way to the back of my computer table and it was still in my face. That's not a problem with the monitor, though, just my preference. I'm going to try a 17". I didn't like the adjustment buttons. They were narrow and very sensitive, so it was difficult to adjust. If I didn't have long fingernails, I would have had to use a pen or screwdriver to make my selection. If your monitor wobbles, you didn't "snap" the base onto it, but make sure you want to keep it before you do. My daughter had to come over to help me remove the base.
