This switch works very well. I found absolutely no ghosting of any kind. The monitor looks exactly the same as if you had it directly connected to each computer. No loss of any quality. The electronic switch is light to the touch. The USB 2 hub has no problem using a Flash Drive. It is built very sturdy and nice size. I picked this switch due to some other KVM switches having ghosting problems. This switch also did not have bad reviews that I could find. I personally did not having any problems setting up the switch. It's a little pricey but I signed up for Amazon's credit to get $30 off but it's well worth their asking price.

So easy you'd think it was made by Apple. Just plug in the cables and ta-da, press a button to switch computers. Sits unobtrusively under the monitor without any visible cables. Costs a bit more than other options but the clean look and easy set-up (IBM laptops are said to have problems with other switches) make this a great buy.

I was orginally using a Belkin Omniview 4port KVM for PS2 mouse and keyboard. This worked great when I had older computers with PS2 connections . However, as I slowly upgraded my computers, they no longer had PS2 connections but USB type. I tried using the PS2 to USB adapter but this was flakey. Also connecting this to the older Belkin KVM turned out to be a nightmare. Always having to unplug/plug in the USB devices because they would drop off. Or having to reboot....so frustrating.
I decided to upgrade to the Belkin USB KVM. This was not cheap but it turned out to be a big headache. I would get the same problems with the USB devices dropping out and then having to unplug devices to try to re-establish the connections. I also tried different Belkin KVMs at work with the same results - just a big headache.
After much research I found this device on Amazon. There were so many positive remarks so I bought one. So far it is absolutely amazing!!!! (It's kind of sad when something that works as it is supposed to makes the product amazing.) But I am very pleased with this device. I switch between my two computers and have not lost any USB connection once.
The one item that I didn't quite understand until I got the device was the USB hub. It wasn't exactly what I envisioned. I thought it was going to have the console ports (VGA, usb mouse, usb keyboard) PLUS 3 more USB ports. It basically has 3 USB ports...so you plug your USB mouse in one, your USB keyboard into the 2nd one...and you are left with one more USB port. I've plugged a USB hub into this last port and it's worked fine....maybe that's what they figured the user would do. I just thought it was going to have 3 extra USB ports and then I would plug my 3 printers directly into those.
The device is solid, seems to be well made and comes with nice cables.
Doesn't have the scroll lock, scroll lock key combo to switch to another port...but I knew this when I purchased it. I'm already used to just pressing the button on the KVM.
It says its USB 2.0 but not really sure how to check this out.
I've only used it a few days so I can't say it worked flawlessly for months. But I switch between computers quite often and it's never missed a beat.
Definitely going to buy one of these for my work place.

I tried IOGear and Belkin KVM switches and experienced the problems identified by most other reviewers.
I have a Gateway Desktop GM5472 running Vista and an IBM T41 laptop running Windows XP, and since I installed this a month ago, it has worked flawlessly (or as someone else has mentioned, performance has actually matched their advertising!).
I highly recommend this KVM switch. Now if they only made one for a multi-monitor setup ...

I have used a number of KVM switches, and there are often problems with them. In my experience, the fancier they are, they worse they work. Avoid KVMs that require proprietary cables, or that rely on driver software for "hotkey switching" instead of having buttons.
The ConnectPro is no nonsense, and works with everything I've connected it to. I'm upgrading to the four-port version soon.
