beware - don't use both at once on linux [Posted on 2007-05-07]
I bought this for use on a mini-itx system with a single PCI slot. The SATA worked fine. The GigE worked fine. After installing Linux (Ubuntu server 7.04) I tried migrating my data from another machine via the network.... sata timeouts and errors all over the place. Apparently it doesn't work with sata and gige active at the same time (at least with linux 2.6.20 drivers, i haven't tried other OSes).
