Awesome [Posted on 2008-04-05] So bright compared to a red laser! The batteries don't last the longest, but since they're AAAs it's easy enough to pop some new ones in. I bought one for my dog (he LOVES it) and then I bought one for my mom's cats, they all go crazy for it.
Very good [Posted on 2008-04-22] This laser is everything it's advertised to be. My only warning is, don't drop it! Even from a low height. It fell off of a low coffee table and now it's junk. I plan to get another one, but I plan to put some padding on it just in case. I've seen people complain about it getting weaker over time, and it's probably because they dropped it.
Marginal [Posted on 2008-07-07] I bought this to point to stars and constellations. The laser is OK, but not great. It works well in a completely dark sky, but if there is even a little light (light pollution, moon or already set sun) performance drops off. Also, the laser does not have a consistent beam. Sometimes the beam is strong, other times it is very faint. It also drains batteries extremely fast. For $35, if you understand the limitiations, its not bad. But if you want something more reliable go elsewhere - I will be looking for another.
Item Not Sold As Described - Missing Items [Posted on 2008-07-15] This item is NOT SOLD as it is described! It is only the Green Laser and it does NOT come with the flashlight or optical cloth! This has also been posted by another buyer today, where they do not ship the extras and cross these items off the order. The flashlight and cloth probably don't have much if any value, and I didn't order this because of that. However, I expected it to be shipped as it is advertised here, and it wasn't. The other person who had this same problem today was told there is a note that says it's not included with this, even though the title and descriptions do. I didn't find the "note" on the page, but I guess it could be hidden here somewhere.
Use with care [Posted on 2008-08-01] Seems very bright, enough so that it may not be safe. Though I don't have the test equipment to establish whether it falls into class IIIa or IIIb, I would not expose anyone to radiation from this laser. See also:

An externally similar laser is listed elsewhere on Amazon as 20 or 50 mW.
Less importantly: smelled strongly of industrial solvent and did not arrive with double bonus LED flashlight and microfiber cloth described in the listing. The vendor offered excuses and a return.
