Welcome to the high speed firewire 800 Mbps world. This is a great card at a resonable price. You need to install the Unibrain drivers to get the full 800 speed. The older ubCore 3.1 drivers caused my machine to crash. I would advise instead to download the new 5.12 drivers from [...], as they are more stable. This is a great card for the price. I would buy it again.

I tried twice to get the card to work and nothing. My PC says it's not there.
So I gave up on it for awhile.
Then I upgraded to Windows Vista and thought I'd try again. But then I fnd out ADS offers no Vista support for this card. None. Zilch.
Several other brands do. I wish I'd bought one of them instead.
