Reliable USB card in Windows XP [Posted on 2007-01-29]
I have bought and used 3 of these USB adapters and they work very well. The advantages include the internal pin-connections for connections to front panel ports. That is a total of 6 ports for this $13 item. And it detects automatically in Windows XP and uses XP shipped drivers. If you don't already have the right cables for internal connection, be prepared to spend some time to find them. I wish the card came with pin-type cables. Fortunately, the cases I use have front panel cables. The card brings to life the early Pentium III motherboards with only usb 1.1 ports.
