Amazon sent the wrong CPU Twice [Posted on 2007-05-18] AMD makes a great CPU... but beware, if you order this item then Amazon will send a socket AM2 CPU and not a socket 939 CPU. It happened to me with the initial order and again with the replacement order.
FAST FAST FAST [Posted on 2007-10-09] This processor is the bonb! lol. I recently upgraded and I must say my pc is just zooming along. I can have multiple applications open and the pc doesn't freeze up. So I would definately say buy this product!
Great performance for a low price [Posted on 2007-12-17] Great performance! If you have a low budget and are looking for a gaming PC, this CPU is for you (3800+ X2 can do the trick too if you can get it). The price tag for this baby's performance is a steal. I tried higher processors and performance difference impact on games is minimal. I'll stick with this one for now. No more power than this is needed. Today's GPUs do all the raw gaming work.
Fast CPU [Posted on 2008-01-02] Along with a new MB and 2GB DDR2 ram, this CPU greatly enhanced my computing experience. Installation presented no problems, chip runs fast and cool with only a standard heatsink and fan. Average temp for processor is 36 degrees celsius. This is an excellent chip for a good price. Buy it!
Great Dual Core performance [Posted on 2008-03-03] If you want to have a gaming CPU easy on the wallet, this is the sweet spot. Performs great all over, for extra punch in games make sure to download the drivers and timing optimizer from AMD, and another good thing is there is a 6000+ x2, so if after some time you need more power, that 6000 will one day be cheaper. ME, I am happy with it now and I dont plan on changing for quite a while. So go ahead and buy it if you want to go Dual Core today.
