My main concern when buying this was how difficult it would be to "expand" and add a new phone to the EP5995 base unit. I was surprised how easy it was. I did it with an eight month old baby in my other hand without reading the manual first. Just navigate to the "expand headset" button from the main menu on the main base and the new phone will "talk" to the base and take care of the rest. A few seconds later you are good to go. That simple.

The product and four additional handsets were delivered promptly and in perfect condition. We have used it for about a month and are very satisfied. We bought it for the larger back-lit buttons and the large back-lit display, both of which are working as hoped. All the negatives in other reviews are minor inconveniences.

The At&T cordless expansion handset phones are very convenient to plug in anywhere in the house where a phone is needed--even the bathroom! Up to 8 phones can be used with the main base phone, an AT&T digital answering system, Model #EP5995, 5.8 GHz. What an absolute convenience!

I actually purchased the Answering/Speaker phone system and I am so pleased with the ease of using all of the features. I feel like a kid in a candy store! I have always only used AT&T phones because they produce such fine products. I had an older model- speaker phone for about 12 years. It still works wonderfully; I just can't find an antenna replacement for it! But, I love this phone so much that I am going to expand and get the children there own so they won't touch mine. My advice --BUY IT!!!

Just as good as my main hand held, has speaker capability, very easy to set up to base phone connection, totaly pleased, both have the same clear reception at other end of calls too.
