Use caution [Posted on 2008-04-14] Use caution in buying this USB drive. I bought four of these drives in Jan 2007. Two died in less than 3 months. The other two were not used, so it hard to tell what their reliability will be. The failed units come up as unrecognised devices and cannot be read. I tried many different computer systems - all with the same result. I have never had a USB drive fail before. I have not yet received a reply from the vendor/manufacturer regarding repair or replacement. I fear that there is either a design defect in the drive itself or mine came from a bad manufacturing batch.
Useless POS [Posted on 2008-04-25] Like the other reviewer, I purchased one and had it die two months afterwards. Price is good but it won't last for any worthwile time.

Defective [Posted on 2008-04-25] Like the previous two reviewers, I too had my 8Gb A-data usb drive die on me after about 10 uses. Now it will not appear on the computer or even be recognized. I use windows xp, and have never had a problem with plug and play devices before.
I will not be buying any more A-data products in the future.
Fragile... Mine lasted TWO DAYS and quit [Posted on 2008-04-30] Be careful. The price is good, 8GB is exciting, but this jump drive is not worth the nightmare of using it to move valuable information from a laptop to desktop computer. I have 4GB of high school yearbook photos locked on a broken jump drive. PLEASE, avoid this product!
Horrible products - DO NOT BUY [Posted on 2008-11-25] I purchased a 32GB flash drive and after trying it in 4 pc's (3 Dell's and one Gateway) no OS would recognize it. When I initially contacted the company for a refund, I was given the run around and was told that I needed to tell them what type of memory each of my notebooks used and they would not process my claim until this information was received, and I was repeatedly called Mr. despite my correcting them and telling them I am a woman. After email after email, they finally caved and gave me an return authorization number--save yourself the headache, do not purchase their products.
