Worth Getting [Posted on 2007-05-13] I found myself suddenly needing to use Access for analysis that was way too big to do in Excel (comparing data sets from 3 sources with ~800K records each). I really knew nothing about Access. Between this book and the internet I have become very proficient in Access. I practically slept with the book for a week. I now find I don't need it and have lent it to a co-worker.
Good Reference tool [Posted on 2007-12-18] I bought this because I'm trying to expand my knowledge of Access. I use Access in my work and I'm at an intermediate level but I'm always interested in how I can make it work better/harder for my needs. This book is easy to use and put together well. I'm able to find answers to most of my questions quickly and easily. I liked that it included sections for ALL the parts of Access, not included in most books. Good overall reference manual.
Nice Reference for the Un-Accessed [Posted on 2008-05-16] I am not an Access "guru" but have an immediate need for some intensive training. I've used Microsoft's on-line tutorials but need something closer at hand for reference. This book contains a huge amount of information for a person who is not very conversant in MS Access, and it has already been worth its cost. The information seems to be well organized and is presented in a way I can understand. I would recommend this book to someone else who has a bit of technical savvy and a need for a crash course in MS Access. I anticipate using this book frequently over the next few months.
Great Reference Book [Posted on 2008-08-18] I have been using Microsoft Access since the early 1990s, and I have been teaching it in the classroom and online for over a decade. I was a contract database developer for many years... so I know Access, and I'm no dummy.
This book is very well written and organized. Even though I have been working with Access for almost two decades now, I still sometimes find myself in need of a text book to reference information. I keep a copy of this book on the shelf at all times.

P.S. Don't let the word "Dummies" fool you. This is a book for Access users of all skill levels.
What I Needed. [Posted on 2008-08-28] I needed something to help with basic points and procedures but I don't need nor want to work in Sequel. This met my needs well. I can use it as a ready reference, find my problem and get the solution. And I don't have to start from page 1. This book tells you how to use Access but without the Techno Speak. I have no regrets about the purchase.
