Don't let the brand fool you - ACER [Posted on 2008-08-09]
I purchased this model about 6 months ago and found out Vista uses all the ram so I expanded ram to max 2 gb and now it's amazing with multiple programs running etc. Since it didn't come with a monitor I went one step further and added a Diamond Video Board using PCI Express which puts the machine capable to connect to my HDTV which is a 32" monitor and can see it from my easy chair - DVDs in 1080i and for gaming but not into that. Last I bought for 30 bucks a wireless keyboard and mouse so no wires between me and PC. With Intel core duo 1.6 almost everything is faster then the days of Pentium 4, so adding a few bucks to this system I now got a machine that would have cost twice as much. Last suggestion with any computer laptop or desktop is adding the extra warranty from ACER since they are all built overseas who knows what that trip across the ocean can do to them in the future!
So don't worry about the name if you know how to make the guts work!!
Almost forgot to mention on the back of this model you can connect directly a 5.1 surround sound speakers & can't ask for more, Right !
