Fine and dandy...sort of. [Posted on 2008-03-31] This computer came with Vista when I bought it. Approximately two hours later, Vista crashed. I then loaded the computer with Ubuntu Linux, and it has been running fine ever since.
However, when I decided I wanted to upgrade my RAM, I found Acer's customer support to be very unhelpful. They merely told me to ask someone else or find the information myself. The manual for the computer covers only installation, and since the machine is essentially a hybrid of desktop and laptop parts, half the battle is just finding out what you have inside. When you open up the machine for the first time, it'll look like a nightmare. But once you pull the silver case out of it (there's a screw holding it in place), the insides will look just like your standard desktop, except smaller.
It uses laptop memory, so keep that in mind if you ever decide to upgrade the RAM. That's pretty much the only thing you can upgrade anyway.
