Fantastic Upgrade from Adobe [Posted on 2008-05-16] This was the definitive upgrade so far from Adobe. The integration between Photoshop CS3 and Dreamweaver is awesome. Also between Photoshop and Flash, being able to import PSD files (with all the layers) has made life a lot easier. My advise to other web designers, buy the upgrade immediately!
Solid upgrade, well worth the cost [Posted on 2008-05-19] Works as expected - upgraded from CS1 to CS3. Solid upgrade, well worth the cost.
Great programs...horrible install [Posted on 2008-05-29] Like the other CS suites this is what you would expect from Adobe. Unlike the other CS suites this one has some bugs on the install. When installing (I tried multiple times) every program installed just fine except Illustrator. Illustrator would error out and no matter what I did I could not get it to install. In going into groups on the Internet I have found that this is a real problem. Interestingly enough the program is not always Illustrator--for some it is one of the other programs in the suite. The problem, however, is the same--you have a suite with a missing program. Some who have installed the suite have had no problems installing everything. Some have gone through elaborate means to finally get theirs to install. Adobe's solutions up to date to not help in the slightest.
Bottom line--great programs. . .good luck on the install.
Amazed [Posted on 2008-06-18] Still haven't unlocked the full potential of this product. Bridge is a new addition for me that is a great asset with raw photos - adding metadata that can be applied to all photos in a folder or on your computer. Photoshop has some new cool features as well, the best being that it can now handle raw. Played around with illustrator and feels as good as the old version. Now if I could get as good with dreamweaver and flash... well back to studying.
excellent, expensive, professional & unavoidable [Posted on 2008-07-18] What can you do? Adobe owns the graphic design world, but they come through with absolutely brilliant products. I always wait a while before I upgrade to the next CS version so they can work all of the bugs out. The programs have a new elegantly designed interface with more friendly and intuitive features. A few things seem to be missing, for instance; I can't find the pre-set duotones in PhotoShop. A training DVD is included that I refer to on a regular basis, but it could be indexed better. I like the choice free stuff, too.
Amazon had the best price.
