Customer Reviews:

quick & easy [Posted on 2000-07-13]
amazon shipped this fast, it set up and scanned fast and the scanning was easy. the software is admirable -- my father-in-law ordered the same software for his scanner ,a visioneer, after seeing what this software can do. as a novice scanner operator, i was surprised by the ease, speed and especially the quality of the scans. i was especially apprehensive about how disappointed i might be with the resulting scans, but the scans were great! it is a nice looking machine, too! i am very happy with this addition to my computer capabilities.

Installation Problems [Posted on 2000-07-23]
This is my second scanner. The software for the first one loaded without problems three years ago. I have spent a minimum of four hours trying to get my computer to recognize this Agfa scanner. Online tech help resulted in an e-mail message referring me to a URL which does not exist. Hopefully, it will be up and running before the warranty expires.

Blows away my old HP [Posted on 2000-10-30]
Scanners have come a long way in two or three years. Not only was the Agfa driver 10 times easier install than my old scanner (no headaches with USB), the pictures are way better too. The "scan directly to email" is a handy feature.

TERRIBLE SCANNER [Posted on 2001-06-17]
PROS: INEXPENSIVE SCANNER CONS: EVERYTHING ELSE. THE COLOR REPRODUCTION IS HORRIBLE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCANNER TO ANYONE. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND BUY THE EPSON OR THE CANON

above-average quality at a price anyone can afford [Posted on 2002-01-02]
I've had mine for over a year and love it. It's inexpensive, takes *zero* experience and has given me absolutely no hassle whatsoever. All the software you need comes along and is easily installed, only one cord to plug in (gotta love that usb connection) and the photo quality has been far better than the price tag suggests. I've used its results on websites, both personally and professionally with great results. Unless you're a digital photographer or just enjoy blowing money, I see no reason not to buy this product.
