Sturdy case but requires it to be opened to utilize touch screen and cannot be used when using the extended battery with modified back cover for MDA. Since I always use my extended battery I find myself not even using this case. Bottom line; poorly thought out impulse buy. I tend to do that though. :-)

This aluminum case is safe. Very tough. There are three main problems.

1. It makes the big Jasjar much bigger - 1/8 to 1/4 inch all around (aluminum and neophrene.)

2. You cannot use the touchscreen through the hard plastic transparent window. You can only access the 4-way pad with the OK button, and the side buttons (e.g. camera) when the case is closed.

3. With the belt clip attachment, it extends at least two inches out from the outside of my belt, and bangs into things.

This is a good clamshell storage case, but you need to do more than see the screen, take a picture, or press OK, you need to open the case.
