Ipod U2. Apple = computadoras desechables.

Best computer ever [Posted on 2006-08-05]
I have had this system for 8 months now and I only have a few minor complaints. It is hard to get the DVD drive to stop reading a scratched disc (CD or DVD). While importing my iTunes library I had some old CDs that had a few scratches. The comp would lock up. Apple needs to develop some sort of time-out or somthing. Oh yeah and these CDs worked fine in my work comp (DELL). So I would burn a copy and use the newly recorded CD in the Mac. Minor headache. Other than that this is one kickButt machine! Don't buy this machine if you are planning on using it for gaming. I tried to play Call of Duty 2 and it is too choppy. Only have 512 MB memory.

The Finest Notebook Computer on the Planet [Posted on 2007-03-06]
This thing has a cardbus II type slot, which works with a 24/96 bit Iris audio card for recording premium quality live recordings. The machine has built in Bluetooth, so do yourself a favor and get an Apple Bluetooth mouse and keyboard for a very slick way to work. You'll want to elevate the Powerbook to get the best viewing height for ergonomic comfort and your overall working health. I had a custom stand built, but you can buy stands online.

There is really nothing bad about this computer. Yes it gets warm, but I'll never use a computer on my lap anyway. Very beautiful design, built solid, great ports and plug-ins for everything you want to do. OSX 10.4.8 (right now) is the ultimate OS out there for graphics and creative uses.

If you're an artist, musician, creator of video's - get this machine. If you are also rich, go the next level and get the same model known as the Macbook Pro, for a bump up in speed.

I like this one. It fits my life, It fits my budget AND, it's going to be My computer for years to come.

Thanks Apple,

Ken

Great, except that pulsating light [Posted on 2007-06-29]
It runs really fast, the Web cam is pretty spiffy, nice lighting, keyboard. I love the power plug that magnetic, probably the best part. The software is good, and the 1.67 GHz is plenty enough.

the only thing i don't like is the freaking pulsating light. I try to sleep but I need a sheet over it before i can. if someone makes an application to disable that i will buy it on a whim.
other than that no complaints.

Rock Solid Reliability and Performance! An Incredible Laptop! [Posted on 2008-03-31]
I have owned this laptop for a little over 2 years. It is one of the most reliable computers I have ever owned. In fact this was my first experience with a Mac Computer since moving away from MS Windows. I am so glad I did. How refreshing not having the Blue Screen of death, viruses multiple crashes, incompatibilities etc. that seem to plague the Windows based units. When you plug in a new Digital Camera, Printer, Video Camera etc., the Mac instantly knows what it is and you are up and running very quickly! No more messing around with drivers etc. I have even updated the OX to Leopard 10.5 with no issues at all. Upgrading Leopard brought new life to this laptop! the 1.67 MHz chip has plenty of power to run the new OS. If you can find a good used one pick it up. You will not be disappointed.
