I bought the AuraGrid to get wireless signal in a room that was not getting any signal. When I first tried to set it up, it didn't seem to work. After some troubleshooting, I realized that I didn't connect the WiFi cable into "Room 1" on the splitter. One I fixed this, I got a signal, the deadspot was gone!

This product is a good alternative to buying and configuring another access point.

This is a nice piece of workmanship, well packaged, good quality. BUT be advised, in order for this device to work properly, all the cables that run from the four-way duplexer to the remote antennas need to be in one piece, that is, you cannot have splitters nor barrels. If you need help, the tech support from AuraOne (the company that makes this item) is great. Just for that, I gave them 5 starts.

I purchased the aura grid because 1) I wouldn't have to have a wireless receiver sitting on a shelf close to my computer, and 2) thought I would get better speed with the antenna within 3 feet of the computer. Speed on the internet has slowed to the point that I'll probably remove the item and put the receiver back on the shelf.

I just installed this product, read many of the mixed reviews. While I did not see an "increase" in signal strength in areas that were previously covered with my Linksys Wireless Router, I did see a huge difference in areas that were unable to connect or received a weak signal. I now have adequate coverage in all corners of my home! It was easy to install, tech support was quick to send me a TNC connector for my router, and I am now completely wireless!

This product did not increase the strength of my WAP, but it did allow me to reach the signal from my office to bedroom (was not possible before). The signal was very weak (1-2 bars) but this was still better than it was w/o the auragrid. I ended up buying the Hawkings signal booster [...]thinking it may solve the problem by itself. However, my WAP and Hawkings booster alone did not reach into my bedroom at all. It wasn't until I connected my WAP to the Hawkings and then to the auragrid did this product really work. I could sustain a good 3 bars at 100 feet of cable from the duplexer unit!

I think the auragrid product is a great solution pending you have a powerful enough WAP to push the signal throughout the coax in your home. If not, you may need to purchase a bi-directional signal booster like I did.

Overall the product works as advertised PENDING YOU HAVE A POWERFUL ENOUGH WAP or a signal booster. If the company was able to bundle this product with WAPs that are powerful enough to provide signals throughout the 4 ports on the duplexer unit or at least recommend a WAP I would give the 5 stars. That being said, I still like the product so I give it 4 stars!
