Great deal on genuine CD Stomper Avery Labels [Posted on 2004-09-29] These are genuine CD Stomper brand Avery Labels. They work great and are of high quality paper/adhesive. I think these typically sell for $39.99 at the computer stores like CompUSA, Frys, etc., so getting them for $29.99 shipped and tax free is pretty nice. I think you can get generic ones on auction sites for less, but the print does not come out as smooth.
I will never run out of CD labels! [Posted on 2005-08-09] The is the largest pack of CD/DVD labels that Avery/Stomper produces. I use these at work so I go through a few sheets a day. This is definitely the best value for your money. The "Click N' Design" software that allows you to do layouts is pretty user friendly and the label application is a breeze (using the stomper). The only concern with these paper CD labels is that since it makes the CD a tad thicker, some slot-load CD trays need a little extra shove to get them in. I would definitely order these again, however with 300 labels in the pack (not including the 600 ring labels), I don't see myself running out very soon.
May be OK for CDs but not good for DVDs [Posted on 2006-04-02] I bought these for labeling DVDs. While the labels are very thick, they do not completely mask the printing underneath.
Also, after labeling a bunch of DVDRs, I had trouble with read errors, stutters and freezes. At first, I attributed it to bad DVDRs or scratched discs, but it was happening on almost every disc. As a last resort, I scrubbed one label off with a brillo pad. There was still residue on the disc, but the read errors were gone.
So, unless the three different DVD players I tried them on are unusually finicky, I wouldn't recommend these labels for DVDs.
great quality label to print on [Posted on 2008-07-22] Quality, and precision cutting. would have got five stars, but inevitably the printer cant feed these sheets exact, so you still have to trick the thing into printing past the margins...
Great Labels, Great Price [Posted on 2008-07-25] I've used these labels for years on all my CDs (several thousand). This is the only way to buy them. When Sam's Club has them, they're usually a bit cheaper.
I wish they didn't have the cutout for the larger hole, now that I'm using full face labels; they can pull away there. Also have to watch how you print them, to keep them from jamming. On my Canon, I just have to bend the trailing tabs up a little bit to prevent snagging.
