Bamboo Fun review [Posted on 2008-04-11] The Bamboo Fun is an incredible product. It is between the small cheap graphics tablets and the most expensive. Amazon delivered the product as ordered. No problems. No disappointments.
Great tablet [Posted on 2008-04-12] I've used Wacom tablets for years for photo editing. I just got this one and it is fine - worked instantly with my Mac. My minor quibbles are that the mouse could be more sleekly designed (I love my Mighty Mouse) and that the extra software that came with this was dated - Photoshop 6 for Mac is out and this ships with 4. When I contacted support, they told me that they didn't even have 6 and the extra software was a "gift" from the manufacturer. I asked whether I could get a new gift when 6 comes in (still waiting on the reply) - so if you want to get a free copy of 6, wait a while and check to see what's shipping.
Great product for the price [Posted on 2008-04-27] I'm very happy with this purchase. The Bamboo is so easy to use. I got the larger sized choice but it is still small enough to fit nicely on my desk. It works great, the software that comes with it is simple to install, and then it's just plug it in and start using it. Using it with a Mac, there are some built in capabilities that let you embed drawings or your signature in documents, email messages, and more -- really nice.
I got it so I could work on small sketches, but I find I often turn to it as a break from using a mouse or trackball.
I would love it if it was wireless but I don't think they have that in this price range.
Amazing product for artists. [Posted on 2008-04-28] I have been looking at tablets for a few years-I'm an artist and I have always been curious about what can be done with this technology. So this year I decided to splurge and buy one that wasn't too expensive, but had a good name attached to it and the Bamboo by Wacom met both of those criteria.
Super easy to install and use right out of the box. I have found this device to be a wonderful addition to my studio and I am enjoying it's versatility a great deal. The pen is easy to use as is the mouse. I'm glad I bought it! I recommend this to anyone that is interested in what a tablet can do for them--I purchased the black medium tablet.
Good luck you won't be sorry!!
Very Happy [Posted on 2008-04-30] Since this is my first tablet I can't compare it to other similar products. In my business I have recently been doing more and more graphic design and artwork. This tablet has really simplified the work process. It takes a little getting use to but overall I am able to perform detailed tasks in a much more efficient manner.
I also really like the mouse, it's very efficient and comfortable. I think in the future I may upgrade to a larger size since I am constantly finding myself to be at the edge of the tablet.
