Wacom Tablet. 5 stars [Posted on 2008-06-25] This is a very nice product.
Once you get it, it is very hard to learn how to use it.
I got white, because it is white, dirt shows up on it. So
don't get white unless you are getting it for your Mac.
I love the touch effect for drawing on Corel. It is good with animation
too.
I recomend this product to all who are wanting it.
cool product [Posted on 2008-06-25] I bought this to do some photo editing on my Mac and for some note editing on MS Office 08. It works very well and is a lot of fun, although I have my computer in my living room set up wirelessly so if there was a way to get rid of the usb cable to the pad that would be even better. For now I just plug it in when I want to use it. Still a really cool product.

Wow! I Love this Mouse [Posted on 2008-08-28] I damaged the tendon that goes from the tip of the thumb all the way down past the wrist over a year ago. It was so painful I couldn't use it and wound up in a brace for over 8 months. Still during that time I was working- and I work 5 days a week, 8 hrs a day on a computer. And my hand was not healing. In May I finally took 2 months medical leave from work so that it would finally have a chance to heal. When I came back to work, it was 85% better but I was terrified to use the mouse with my right hand. So I started mousing lefty. That wasn't very comfortable and terrible for my posture. Then a coworker showed me a tablet mouse he had from years ago. I immediately did some research and found this Bamboo Fun tablet mouse and ordered it. I've been using it now for a couple of weeks and I love it- it actually makes working on the computer fun. I don't need to do graphics or use any of the software that comes with it... to me that's just icing on the cake... I do powerpoint pitches and excel spreadsheets and calendaring... all I use it for is the normal stuff most office-workers need a regular mouse for. But there is nothing like this.
It took me two days to get used to it, but now it's like second nature. It is soooo much faster than a regular mouse and it feels so natural holding the pen. It's wonderful. Now everyone in my office that sees me use it, they want one too!
For ANYONE who has carpal tunnel or Dequervian's Syndrome or any of those hand/wrist tendon problems, you have got to get this mouse! You'll be so thrilled that you did. (the only thing I've got to figure out is how to type and hold the mousepen at the same time! I'm getting there!) :)
Bamboo Fun for Student Use [Posted on 2008-08-30] If you're like me and had a hard time deciding between medium and small bamboo fun, or had concerns about handwriting software from vista, then this is the review for you.
Design:
First of all, I have to say that expected the tablet to look a lot "shinier" like in the pictures. However, it's not really shiny, but it still looks quite cute.
Mouse:
As for the mouse, many users say that it's hard to use with the small tablet. I don't think so at all, really. There are two options for the mouse, and that is to use it as a regular mouse and or map it to the screen like the pen does. Therefore, the mouse acts just like a regular mouse if you want it, and for me there were no problems.
Drawing:
Drawing was no problem at all with a small tablet. Actually the workspace was more than enough for me.
Handwriting and Notes:
This is what I specifically bought the tablet for. What funny is, since the tablet is smaller, you would think it be better for handwriting than drawing. However, it's because of this fact that makes it somewhat easier for me to draw than write. If you write the way you regularly write, your handwriting size will almost double on screen. Therefore you have to adjust to writing much smaller, which for me is a bit of a pain. However drawing was quite the opposite, as a simple stoke could make a nice face line without much effort.
Portability:
Nice and portable for class, but I honestly think the medium tablet wouldn't have been as cumbersome as I thought. It is after all, only a couple inches wider and longer than the small. The small is perfect for any desk.
Compatiblity with Vista:
Ink annotation in word (office 2007) will not work if you have vista home basic. You must have higher versions of vista. You should also keep in mind that if you are buying this for Microsoft one note 2007, it has a known problem with wacom graphics tablets, as when you write it will look as you had VERY shaky hands. However, I did discover a workaround to this: if you zoom in with the scroll on the bamboo, it seems to smooth it out nicely. However it is a big drawback because for notes you don't want to zoom in all the time.
Overall I really like the tablet, the small is a great bargain for the money, but if you can afford it, I'd probably go for the medium tablet, or both.^_^
