Fantastic [Posted on 2007-05-29] A great addition to bf2. Alot of fun with loads of new maps, vehicles and weapons. New armies also make it a lot of fun expanding the bf2 universe. There are also a host of new medals, badges and ribbons to achieve.
BF2: Special Forces. [Posted on 2007-07-18] Battlefield 2: Special Forces, though not adding much to the genre, is a solid game from EA. This expansion adds new maps, armies, weapons and vehicles. The only reason most of the people how purchased this did buy it was for the "Double Unlock" System, where you get double the unlocks for every rank. (clever, eh?)Though this means that the game's addition content burnt through very quickly there is always the strive for higher ranks.
Back to the expansion.
This gives a solid performance but when it comes to finding quality games with a variety of maps where the server is fun and enjoyable for all parties, that is where the game is lacking. Aswell as making SF and Vanilla into one single button so there is no need for alternation.
review for bf2:sf [Posted on 2007-09-10] It's an "ok" game i bought this for the weapon locks on bf2.
I like the online play, pretty intense.
For players that have BF2...i must say this game gives you more strategic
chances than playing BF2 online, for example flanking the enemy from 2nd floor to 3rd floor with a rope to climb on.
BF2 made slightly better [Posted on 2007-11-03] BF2 SF continues the tradition of BF2 with the addition of new maps, vehicles, weapons, and equipment. I like the SF maps because they're medium sized and allow for a lot of different sniping locations and "things to do". Some of the BF2 64 player maps are so large that you find yourself running around from Pt A to Pt B too often.
Great Game [Posted on 2007-12-06] I found out it best to install bf2 ,then special forces then patch. That way you don't have to reinstall bf2.It has some sweet rides to go with it. I like using the quads and doing some sweet jumps.
