Customer Reviews:

Best tool kit ever owned by a computer tech [Posted on 2000-10-28]
This has been the best tool kit I've used in 5 years of fixing computers. The only bad thing I can say about it is the flashlight is really cheap and broke within a few days. A Mini-Mag fit in the same spot and that is the ONLY item that is not original in 3 years of use (aside from consumables like the cotton swabs and cleaning wipes). The rest of the tools are good quality and are all usable. The ratching screwdriver has seen 3 years of hard use and is still going strong, and let me tell you that I certainly haven't been using this kit to just fix computers. I recently had to give the kit back to my work (changed jobs) and I can tell you that this is DEFINATELY on the top of my wish list. This is the deluxe kit that has near everything: Allen wrenches, ratchet screwdriver, parts retriever, anti-static wrist bands, anti-static cleaning wipes, cotton swabs, flashlight, IC extractor, mini vacuum cleaner, long nose pliers, pen knife, tweezers, mini screwdriver set, soldering iron w/solder and wick, canned air, wire cutter, wire stripper, even a small bits organizer with useful items like jumpers, and all the bits you could need - standard, phillips, torx, square, and sockets in both standard and metric.

More like a child's toy. [Posted on 2002-12-13]
I guess I shouldn't be complaining about it since I got mine as a gift, but I figured I share my opinion so others won't make this mistake.
First things firs when my set finally arrived and I opened the carrying case every single tool just fell out (non of them were strapped in place), after getting it all together I realized that two parts were missing (pen knife and Phillips screwdriver). Since It was a gift I can't really return it so I kept an incomplete set.
After looking threw all the tools I realized that all of them were rather poorly made and very low quality (no offense but when I hold a tool in my hand I want it to feel like a tool not a plastic toy), not to mention that the whole thing looks like it's been used. I really had a nice laugh about a little flash lite that comes with it, it's so cheep it doesn't even have an On/Off button you have to loosen the top portion so that the battery doesn't touch the bulb to turn it off. The soldering iron burned out after first use, so I had to replace it right away.
A couple of pieces were really unnecessary. The Cotton Swabs are good I guess if you get an itch in your ear while working. Same thing with the cleaning wipes, you can use them if you wonna take a lunch brake from work and wipe off your hands. The wire stripers I replaced right away, you actually need a screw driver to set it to different cable sizes (since it's almost impossible to set them to the right size you always end up cutting the wire or not being able to strip it).
Finally the Vinyl Carrying Case is Big and Bulky (like one of them all in one encyclopedias), I really think they could of remove some of them unnecessary stuff and make the case more portable. Did I mention that the batteries were also missing?
In conclusion if you're even thinking about buying this product GO TO THE STORE AND TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT IT, MAKE SURE ALL THE STUFF IS IN THERE. The picture above is way too small to see how it all looks like, so if you buy this online be ready to be disappointed.

Decent for the price [Posted on 2004-10-22]
I don't think it's bad for the price. The flashlight and the vacuum are a complete waste. The screwdriver, pliers, wirecutter and everything else work just fine. Some of the stuff seems a bit silly (the Q tips), the IC extractor (maybe I'm alone on this, but when was the last time you extracted an IC with one of these?)

Very Cheap Tool Kit [Posted on 2006-09-19]
This is like a toy, I am very disappointed with the quality of this product. I like belkin but this is not what belkin used to be.
