The sleeve is very nice, fits the laptop well, and is a lovely color. However, the smell isn't. We returned it for a second one and it was a bit less smelly. Since my daughter needed it for college, we kept it and sprayed it with perfume.

I purchased this right after I bought my new laptop last year and I've been using it ever since. I also have a computer bag I use along with it when I go on longer outings, but this is enough for everyday use when I just need to grab it and go for a couple hours. I like the color options they have so you're not just using the standard black like every other person around you might have. I went with what they call dove/tarragan (grey & green). It fits my 17 inch Dell just fine and seems to be made well enough to last for quite some time. If I find myself needing another, I'll buy from Belkin again.

Well constructed. Thick/soft material protects very nicely. Although, my Toshiba Qosmio x305 bearing fits into it. Have to stretch a bit to zipper but I don't mind because I know it secure.

I really love my sleeve. I was feeling let down because of the lack of options for 17" cases and this one fit the bill. It is a bit large for my laptop, but that keeps it from scratching any of the finish with the zipper. The only tiny downside is that the cover inside the matching Belkin bag is a pretty tight fit. I like to think of it as being extra-protective and shock-absorbant.

If you have a 17 inch wide screen notebook, you probably want the 15 inch neoprene laptop condom thing. I, instead of measuring my notebook, just thought, "hey I have a 17 inch screen notebook" (hypotenuse only, not width) so I was a little bummed because it is a little to big. But the design is nice, it has plenty of padding, (if you are concerned about that) and that is about it.
