works fine [Posted on 2005-04-04] I bought this to transfer images from my Nokia 6600 to my computer and had no problem in installation and transferring data back and forth. Took me about 15 minutes to read the phone manual to understand the operation but after that it was very easy.
I got it for a price of $9.99 and I could not ask for more at this price.
Overall, a good product.
good [Posted on 2005-09-25] recevied item as described, not to thrilled about cs. Did not respond to my email
Poor installation and nonexistent customer support [Posted on 2005-11-14] I attempted to install this unit on two different Windowss XP laptop computers and have been unsuccessful in both cases.
Case 1 - The driver would not allow the device to be loaded by Windows.
Case 2 - Installation went fine, got an error stating that the software license does not support this Bluetooth device whenever I tried to open the software.
In both cases I downloaded the updated drivers and documentation, but with no success.
These devices may be OK for Macintosh systems, but they are useless for WinXP.
This is my second strike for Belkin, and I will not be purchasing any more products from them. Belkin made good quality products a few years back, but those days appear to be gone.
Difficult to Install on XP and won't speak to Motorola [Posted on 2006-01-07] After installing the software on Windows XP Pro from the CD (does not have Windows validation so Windows drivers will not work), the book had many steps which never happened. After spending about an hour trying to find a fix on Belkins website, I found a Word document containing the information, however, the document title was for something else. It told me how to overwrite the Windows driver with the Belkin driver, but if I ever attach the device to a different USB port, I have to go through the steps all over again.
While this process worked and I was finally (after 2 hours) able to configure the device, with no help from the measly manuals that accompanied the device, I told it to search for my Motorola phone. It found it.
Whenever the two devices connected, the Motorola would shortly disconnect from the computer. There was something about the connecting that was going wrong. I can connect my phone to other bluetooth devices with no problem.
I emailed Belkin with no response. They have poor customer support. The fixes and guides do not exist on their website for Motorola products, they do not have a forum or helpful FAQ's. I do not recommend this for someone trying to pair with a Motorola product.
Does not work with Win XP Pro [Posted on 2007-07-27] This is the 2nd Belkin product I have had the misfortune of buying and after 2 hours I cannot get it to work on my laptop with Win XP Pro. The messages differ from the guide. At the HW level, the machine recognizes the device but the Belkin software does not! Do not buy this product if you have XP.
