Great Buy for the Price! [Posted on 2008-06-24] I bought this product with the Belkin wireless router and it works well. I did a lot of comparison shopping and chose the wireless usb adapter because of its versatility. You can use it in a laptop as well as a desktop with no problems. I would definitly recommend this product.
Works great [Posted on 2008-07-24] I bought this product for my backup desktop in the basement. It didn't work with the included utility but worked fine when I let the Windows network utility do its thing. I also use it for my laptop. It's more convenient than my wireless PC card; installation was quick and it worked immediately.
OK, slightly dissapointed [Posted on 2008-07-26] After reading reviews this and other wireless adapters, I decided to go with this one. The reviews are true enough, I installed then connected the adapter and it connected to the network. My problem is that I have had many disconnections with the internet. I usually just wait a couple of seconds and click retry and it works fine. But this'll happened many times over a sitting. It makes it hard to stay connected to AIM and surf important sites.
Notebook: HP pavilion dv2000, downgraded to XP, a little over a year old
Pros: Cheap (24.99), works
Cons: frequent disconnections, very annoying
To be fair, I've only used this a couple of hours, I'll update if anything changes.
Easy to install & even got it to work on Vista! [Posted on 2008-09-05] Given the low price, I was surprised that it was easy to install and even worked fine on Vista (although I had to call the free support number because on Vista, the included software program to find and connect to the router doesn't work - you just have to go to the Windows Start Button and do it through "Connect To"). Although the manufacturer doesn't state that it's made for Vista, it seems to work fine for me.
Somewhat large, but it just worked [Posted on 2008-09-22] I bought this adapter because I thought that our desktop computer wouldn't be in the same room as the router in our new apartment. The adapter itself is somewhat larger than I thought it would be, but the size may just be necessary to pick up a better signal.
The adapter worked fine in both XP and Linux. I was happy to find that it supported WPA2 with no fuss under Ubuntu Linux.
