Works great - with certain cards - [Posted on 2007-09-10] I was a big fan of this card when i got it. It sits in my otherwise unused expresscard slot on my Macbook Pro, and I never had to worry about having my USB cable or a USB reader for my digital camera.
Unfortunately, I just bought a new SD Card (SanDisk SDSDH-2048-901 2 GB Ultra II Secure Digital Memory Card (Retail Package)) and it doesn't recognize it. The same card works fine with a USB reader on the same computer.
Horrible [Posted on 2008-04-17] I wish I could give it zero stars. I works about 5 percent of the time, just enough to make me think I can fix it. I called customer support and they told me it was my computer. I rebuilt my computer and it still fails with a fresh build. I think it will only reliably work with certain brands of SD cards.
Belkin Multimedia ExpressCard F5U213 DOA [Posted on 2008-04-25] I've had two of these cards and both don't work in my MacBook Pro with SanDisk 2Gb SD card. This was a waste of time and money, and I don't know why Apple sells them!! Don't buy this unless you don't care about reliability.
Short life span, no SDHC support [Posted on 2008-05-05] The device initially worked very well inside both an Apple and an HP laptop, with SD and Memory Stick Pro Duo cards.
Unfortunately after a dozen uses the pins inside the device tend to bend, making it unusable unless you push them back in place with a hairpin.
Oh, an it doesn't read SDHC cards, i.e. almost all SD cards at or above 4GB.
I have a 15.4 Macbook Pro and this only works with 1gb and below [Posted on 2008-05-24] Only time this actually works is with cards under 1gb. Anything over 1gb and its a bit flaky. Sometimes it will work if you jiggle it a bit. Not worth it and now I am looking for a new one.
