Big Brain [Posted on 2008-12-27] A fun game for the entire family. Educational and highly motivating. My children like to see their 'brain size' increase. I have a 7 year old and a 10 year old who both enjoy the game.
Much better than expected [Posted on 2008-12-28] Before I played this game, I was thinking there would be a limited amount of things to do and that it would get repetitive. That is not the case. There is a good variety of challenges. They change levels and speeds. Plus you can play with a lot of players and it is a great social game. The only thing that gets annoying is the little guy talking all the time, But you can skip over it fairly easy.
Perfect for entire family. [Posted on 2008-12-30] This game was an instant hit in our house. My son has many Wii games and aside from the Wii Sports, the rest of the family doesn't utilize any of them. Big Brain Academy is something that my 10 year-old can play with Mom and Dad. The game has various levels that go from easy to expert so you are able to set your own pace and advance the skill level when you are practiced and ready. The idea throughout the game is to improve your grade by increasing efficiency as well as correct answers. When I ordered this game, I had hoped it would be challenging enough for me. However, after the first time we played, I found that some of the categories are very difficult (at my beginner status), especially at the "hard" and "expert" levels. Looks like I will need to practice so I can beat my husband and son in our next match. I would recommend this game to families and to the competitive individual who enjoys a challenge. Much fun to play as a group or alone.
Be quick! [Posted on 2009-01-06] Very reactive game, puts your brain to the test. Delightfully stressful when competing with your sister! Lots of fun.
Pretty fun party game [Posted on 2009-01-06] I bought this game hoping that it would be a pretty fun party game that could be enjoyed by several people at a time. It turned out to be a pretty successful party game, but unless your friends bring another pair of Wii remotes, then you can really only play with two people at a time, which is okay if you play short games, so everyone can take turns. The graphics are not that fabulous, but they are sufficient. I think a major strength of this game is that you could probably enjoy it as young as age 8 and it is fun for adults as well, so it is a good family game. And it can definitely be challenging!
