Worked Great [Posted on 2008-01-01] My son arrived without the cord to connect his camera phone to the computer to download pictures that I wanted copies of. We checked several local electronics stores without success. This gadget came up in the search results - what a good idea. It is a simple tool but it worked without any issues. Inserted the M2 memory card, connected to the laptop USB port and voila - pictures downloaded!
Mistake to buy adapter for microsd [Posted on 2008-01-17] first off all it looks like it comes with the memory card. but it is only a memory card adapter. u have to buy memory aditional >20 dollars.
yesterday i went to a store and bout a memory card with its adapter with 27 dollars. i think this one is better.
the seller should clearly write to notify the items on sell.
by the way it was shipped very fast.
No frills M2 reader [Posted on 2008-01-28] I bought this reader to go along with an 8GB M2 card for use with a Sony Ericcson 580i. So far I've had no problems with it. I've noticed that some other pen drive style card readers are designed to have the card itself sticking out at a right angle from the reader itself. This one keeps the card inside the reader, which made it perfect for turning my spare 1GB M2 card into a pen drive.
My only con for this item is the keychain/tether. The tether hooks onto the reader itself and threads through the cap. If you wanted to be able to hook the reader onto a keychain, and then just pull the reader out of the cap and plug it into a computer, this won't do it for you; you'll have to have your whole keychain hanging off the front of your comp. This isn't necessarily a problem, but it can be inconvenient. The cover that goes over the memory stick area makes the reader a bit bulky, so you might have trouble getting the reader to plug into a port that's recessed or has a lot of other things plugged in near it. You can take the cover off, of course, but it takes a bit of playing with the tab to pull it off.
It's not so flashy in the looks department, but for $9 you can't expect much. If you just want a way to plug a micro card into your PC and/or use a micro card as a pen drive, this will do that. Oh and as another reviewer pointed out, this is a card reader only. No card is included.
Works perfectly! Fast delivery, Inexpensive [Posted on 2008-03-04] I got a Micro M2 memory stick from another company for my Sony Ericcson 580i, which came with an adapter that did not fit into any of the usual laptop's card readers. So I bought this device as a card reader. Turned out to be very handy, easy to use and works perfect. Speedy shipping! A simple yet awesome device with great service!!
50% Good is NOT Good At All [Posted on 2008-06-03] I bought 9 of these for a group buy to get free S&H. We decided to buy this item because we prefer the dual-format (uSD & M2) capability and as a small size pen drive/card reader. I tested it before distributing, but was very disappointed that it is not reading my M2s. The uSD reader works fine with my 2G and 4G card. I am thinking to return the items for either exchange or refund.
