This BT007SX is the bluetooth adapter to buy especially if you have bluetooth headphones like the Motorola ht820 [Posted on 2007-05-15] You may not believe how hard it was to find a bluetooth adapter that works properly with my Motorola HT820 bluetooth wireless headphones -and- supports the remote control buttons. The secret is really the BlueSoleil software that supports it directly. I'll save you the sordid details of my lengthy search.
The price is right, the range is much better than I anticipated, and the software is fabulous. It is easier to add devices and configure than most of the other bluetooth software I've dealt with including the stuff with my HP laptop builtin bluetooth (broadcom) - I'm disabling that and using this instead. The HP Broadcom software doesn't support the AVRCP Audio Video Remote Control Profile so that I can walk around and pause and resume, or skip songs or go back and play again.
A lot of the other bluetooth software doesn't even support stereo headphones. Don't waste your time and money on others, unless they include a legally licensed copy of BlueSoleil. (That's another story - lots of rip off brands include a pirated copy that stops working after a 5MB transfer.)
The A2DP Advanced Audio Distribution Profile provides HIGH QUALITY stereo to the headphones also. It seems better than the broadcom.
The software goes in easily, it's got a great interface, and doesn't force you to learn too much about bluetooth to make it work.
The cool thing - I can now walk around with my high quality stereo and complete remote control wirelessly. Save yourself the hassle - just buy this.
Here's the Motorola Headphones:

Or another one:
Headset, HT820, Bluetooth Stereo
And another:
HT820 Talk & Tunes
Oh get this - do NOT buy the Motorola USB bluetooth adapter - their software does not yet support the A2DP and AVRCP!
Good luck!
NOT compatible with Vista (adaptor and software) [Posted on 2007-06-22] Just to append to the reviewer below me, consumers who are considering purchasing this product in conjunction with a set of stereo bluetooth headsets (as I did per review below with the Motorola HT820) will be well advised to know that this adapter is not supported by Microsoft Vista (I have Vista Ultimate 64).
In addition, consumers will be well advised to know that the packaged BlueSoleil Standard version 2.3 released on July 28, 1006 is not supported by Microsoft Vista.
You can download a 30-day trial of the Toshiba bluetooth stack to make it work, but again, that's only a temporary solution and Toshiba's drivers does not support AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile). The next option, which I haven't tried (and I don't think I really should have to go this route given that the BlueTake packaging states that Windows XP and up are supported) is to purchase the BlueSoleil upgrade to BlueSoleil VoIP (Vista Compatible) Series for 10.00 ($13.44).
Purchase at your peril.
