Customer Reviews:

Great match with the Itouch [Posted on 2008-07-21]
I waited quite awhile before I purchased the Bose SoundDock because like most I couldnt see paying that type of money for portable speakers. However, after researching others I was not impressed. I have purchased Bose before for my home so I knew the sound quality would be top of the line. I was not disappointed. I love the remote, touch volume on the side and the fact that it charges my ipod when Im not using it. I had the ipod nano and upgraded to the itouch and its a nice fit. You cant go wrong with Bose. Yes they are pricey but Ive had my home speakers for 6-7 years and they sound the same as when I bought them. I take my portable speakers with me to workout at the park no cords necessary!!

Disappointed!!! DOES NOT WORK WITH IPHONE! [Posted on 2008-07-24]
I did so much research online for iphone speakers and I even went on to the apple online store to see what was available. Some reviews states this was compatable for iphone use, but unfortunately it does not work. I've tried the iphone on the older soundock and it worked so I assumed this one would too, but this new version does not support the iphone. I had the logitech 50mm and wanted to upgrade since I love the portability being able to take it anywhere. I did tried this with an Ipod and the Bose speakers does sound great. I ended up calling Bose to see if there was anything that I missed, but the tech says it's something Bose is still working on with the new iphone technology. They did recommend using a Auxillary cable, but defeats the purpose of have these speakers since you would not be able to use the remote or use it as a charging dock. If you're spending $400, you want to be able to use all he functions. I'm in the process of returning my Bose speakers and I guess I'll go back to my Logitech, definately can't beat the price and my lasted 3 years. The reason it gave up on me was because I took it to Costa Rica and my friend left it out in the rain.

An Excellent Buy! [Posted on 2008-07-24]
This unit is well worth the money and the sound comparison to the $100 units by other manufacturers is SO superior.

It has excellent sound at low, medium, and high volumes. It is light weight. Battery use is long. I have gone at least 2 hours with no problems - I just haven't had reason to go beyond that yet.

Some complain of having to use the remote. You don't have to - the unit has volume controls, and everything else can be run from the Ipod itself. But the remote is easy to use and has good range.

For someone like me who works and plays with music on constantly the Portable Sound Dock is a great value.

Bose Sounddock rocks [Posted on 2008-07-31]
I love this product. I only wish that the remote more closely resembled the iPod buttons and features. The sound is fantastic! Really fills up a large room or outdorr space.

First class [Posted on 2008-08-01]
I had a 3 year old Altec Lansing travel speaker set which served me very well for going travelling/staying in hotels etc...nothing too pricey but something that served me well. Thought about something more substantial for the home to take outside and use in the loft/garden. Bought the Bose and tried it out with a few tracks on its first outing and the sound is quite incredible. It seems a bit basey at first but once you've tuned your ear in, you'll appreciate the hi-fi roundness of its delivery. 2 tracks that you should try are Phil Collins, In the Air and The Police, Walking on the Moon- both show up any imperfections in the speakers as they are well known productions...the Bose gives a simply stunning performance. Yes its pricey but how often will I buy another speak set for an ipod?
