This is excellent software for those who love to play bridge. It provides hints for bidding and you can play the same hand more than once to try different approaches. You can set the options for the conventions you play and for the level of expertise you possess. It's great for playing when you can't get out to play with other humans.

Think it is a great product and it includes two additional Bridge trainning programs. Highly recommend it to anyone trying to improve his/her game.

Poor Graphics, Obscure bridge rules [Posted on 2007-08-09]
Bridge Baron has no voice narration, no critique and although it shows the cards clearly, fails to show the trick score clearly in large readable text. Would be better off to use Goren rules (or any rule) for main play, then allow for all the confusing and different variations worldwide to be set at the player's option. Omar Sherif's bridge program is more fun, much cheaper and has voice confirmation of all bids and opening leads. With such a hefty price tag, I expected more from Bridge Baron. I wish I could return it but cannot after removing the wrapper and trying the program.

This is a nice bridge practice progrem. It will make you humble when playing tournaments. The weaknesses that I have found are:
1. Lack of ability to immediately replay a hand in tournament mode.
2. Can not setup a convention card with strong jumps without interfearance and weak jumps in competition.
3. Partner tends to overbid in competition.

BB 17 loaded easily and came up with no problems. The error in BB16 where the lead came into my closed hand when I played the hand and into the dummy hand when the Baron played the hand had been fixed. I like the home page better. No complaints, really
