What's not to like? It seems to work fine and is a lot cheaper than the manufacturer's unit. It's hard to get worked up emotionally over a drum unit for a copier/printer, but it does its job well, the price is right, and what more can you ask for!

This unit will give you a replace drum indication via a simple page counter @ 20,000. If you do regular printing - simple forms, invoices, etc. and don't print a lot of greyscale, like photos and such, you can easily get 36,000 to 42,000 pages. When you start to get streaking or little sploches or dots of toner, then replace. I have done this many times and it doesn't hurt a thing as long as you have a new drum ready to go when the defects show up. Save some money & the environment!

I guess this product isn't so great since my drum unit caused quite a bit of smeared ink marks on my print outs and copies. I had to replace it well before the 20,000 copies mark.

I have used my Brother/copier in my part-time CPA practice at home for about five years now and been very pleased with it. The original drum lasted well beyond the 20,000 pages for which it is rated. This new drum has 8,000 copies on it and is operating well.
