Bushnell Powerview Binocular [Posted on 2008-10-06] I learned of this product from a friend that owns a pair. It is the ideal choice for shoreline viewing and mountain range viewing purposes. The price is right and the quality is exceptional.
Info [Posted on 2008-11-16] The actual dimnetions of this product are 7" long and 7" wide ( at the end of the product- the part that we hold to our eyes is not quite as wide and fit to the eyes.
These are VERY strong binoculars, they are 16x the magnification, the 50 ( the other #) is simply the size of the front lens.. its 50 mm in diameter ( wide)... they are very strong and you can see things very far away. If you need a pair for a concert or a football game or something, then I believe these would be way to powerful and large. ( also I read somewhere, and I think its true that anything over 10x the magnification ( these are 16x) that you should use a tripod, since its too hard to see properly, since it needs to be compltely still.
Good binoculars!! [Posted on 2008-12-08] Very good binoculars and reasonably priced. Focus is easy to work with. Some people complain about the plastic straps. It looks like they replaced them as mine came with cloth straps which are O.K.
Great product, flimsy attachments [Posted on 2008-12-26] Love the binoculars just like everyone else. Only complaint is the flimsy attachments. The neck strap is impossible to attach and is obviously a piece of junk anyway so don't bother. I find it annoying that the lens covers aren't connected in some way. They pop off very easily. Just seems to me like something that could easily be prevented with better design. All things considered, these are really minor complaints. The purpose is to get great binoculars for a great price, and that I did. I would still highly recommend them.
Try it, You'll like it! [Posted on 2009-01-06] I purchased this set of binoculars for may husband as a gift and he loves them. They are easy to manage in using them. He can see the birds, he so dearly loves and can identify them readily. I use them also. Good buy!
