Stop! Measure Before Buying! [Posted on 2008-06-17]
BEFORE buying the EZ Disc dispenser, measure the diameter of the cake box lid that you want to use, at the open end. (Do not include the tabs with your measurement.)
The diameter MUST be 5". This critical fact is not advertised by any merchant. All cake box lids are NOT made the same!
If the diameter is larger, this will NOT work for you! The ring that secures the cake box lid to the base has an inside diameter of 5". A 5ΒΌ" diameter cake box that I got from a big-name national manufacturer of CDs will not fit. A generic one that I have with a 5" diameter works perfectly.
