Worst experience ever [Posted on 2006-07-28] My first order was defective, so they sent a replacement as expected. The second one, which came 18 days later, was also defective. I called to inquire on a refund and after getting nowhere with the customer service rep (the 3 times I called they were all obnoxious), I asked to speak to a supervisor (Alan) who was rude, argumentative and constantly interrupted me to the point I had to ask him to let me finish! He said I would have to pay return shipping and I should be grateful that they were "nice" in sending the replacement for free. He said that he's taking a loss in this and that it's not his responsibility for selling defictive merchandise. I told him they should stand behind the products they sell and that when their company speaks of the 3 S's, the first being Service, they don't know how to deliver it. Do yourself a favor... pay a little more money to buy your items from a quality vendor! He didn't even care when I told him he wouldn't be getting a good review on Amazon!
Min Battery Charger [Posted on 2008-05-05] I recently lost my charger while on holiday in the UK. I ordered the charger and additional battery and it was in my mailbox when I arrived back in the states - thanks
Bad design, doesn't work [Posted on 2008-08-03] This is supposed to charge the Casio NP-20 battery. The battery will not physically fit into the charger. You might be able to cut or grind the offending tabs off, I didn't try. I returned it to Amazon for a full refund. No hassels. Good customer service from Amazon.
Excellent charger for the money [Posted on 2008-09-13] I have a Casio EXILIM camera (EX-S500) that uses the Casio NP-20 battery. Somehow the cradle for the camera was lost/misplaced, and we couldn't charge the battery - rendering the camera useless.
There isn't any problems with "plastic tabs" The battery is designed to be inserted into the charger at a slight angle. The connector end fits UNDER a plastic tab, which holds it down. You have to press the battery firmly into place because the two contacts are spring loaded. Then, rotate the other end of the battery down so it sits flat in the charger. When you release pressure, the battery is pushed outward by the spring contacts and is held in place by two other plastic tabs at the other end.
Even if you do have the cradle, this is a cheap travel charger. The charger itself has the fold out plugs for plugging into a wall outlet, and it comes with a cord for charging while in a car. It even comes with a European adapter. I am very pleased.
