You just plug it in and that's it.

I used the firewire por to transfer digital video with no problems under ubuntu 7.10 (gutsy) 64bit . Also the usb port works fine .

Didn't need to use it with the power connector yet .

If it works fine with linux, works in almost any operating system i guess .
