This is a digital cable, and unlike analog ones, when it works, it just works.. "When it works" part is a bit, well, intermittent, though.. I have Sony HDR-SR7 camcorder with mini HDMI output, and this cable does not fit snugly. If I just plug it and leave as it is, TV doesn't get any signal at all. If I press it to a side, then I will get signal...
Bottomline: Mini HDMI side connector doesnt fit snuggly to all outlets, and you may need to press it aside.. Normal HDMI end is just fine, though..
