This starter kit for the Canon xTI is a good kit for the beginner. The extra battery is great to have along while out shooting photos. The bag is big with lots of divided compartments. It may be a little too big for carrying around on your shoulder. But for traveling from place to place and having room for all of your stuff, it works great.

The camera bag is roomy enough for the camera and extra lenses, batteries, the battery charger, books and the cords for the USB ports. The value of the package deal was great. I would highly recommend it to any with the Canon Rebel.

We were asked to be the "official photographers" at a family member's recent wedding and felt we needed to have an extra battery to go with our new Canon Rebel XTi digital camera. We also needed a UV filter for the camera lens. Looking at Wal-Mart (thought it was the cheapest source), I found the battery would be [...] and the UV filter [...], and the battery wasn't even OEM. Tried Amazon.com and found the Canon Accessory Starter Kit for less money (bag was virtually FREE) and got free shipping, as well. Others have reviewed the bag as "too big," but we found we needed all the space because we have 2 additional lenses, one being a long zoom lens. It also allowed us to carry our point-and-shoot digital camera plus extra batteries for it. We're very pleased. Thanks, Amazon!!!

I just got started with DSLR photography last year, upgrading from point-and-shoots. I outgrew my old SLR bag and probably would have bought this one even without the spare battery. It's perfect for my needs--it easily holds my Rebel XTi, the kit lens, a 50mm prime lens, and a 300mm, with room to spare for the flash I'm going to buy next. The bag is rugged and fits nicely on my shoulder. A great deal!
