I bought this to replace my old printer and scanner. This machine prints papers smooth and clear, no unexpected ink spit at all.
Broke after less than a year [Posted on 2008-04-02]
The print and scan quality are good for the price. The ink cartridges won't get you very far, but this didn't really bother me because I don't do that much printing. However, this printer just broke, and I've had it for less than a year. AND I don't even use it that much. Poor quality for a $170 printer.

I got one of these for free with a new laptop. I was skeptical, but it turned out to be a decent little printer. The scanning is good quality as well. I have it connected to an AirPort Express and have been able to print to it over the network on both Mac OS X and Windows Vista. I like being able to make a copy but pressing one button.
This is a good printer and scanner for light home use.

I really have nothing bad to say about this printer.
The scanner works quickly and provides excellent quality.
If you have GOOD photo printing paper, the pictures come out great.
It prints quickly, and despite the fuss over the ink running out quick, hasn't happened to me yet, and it has said LOW for a while now.
I haven't had it start up loudly or take more than a few seconds to do so.
