ChemTutor Excalibur [Posted on 2006-11-06] This CD is a good supplemental learning tool to have with your textbook and lectures. There are 20 Chemistry subject areas and practice exams. It doesn't get into alot of detail, but gives you the basics of what you need to know.
Where are the pictures [Posted on 2007-01-01] Ok I am returning to college to get my Masters degree. I bought this to brush up before enrolling in Chem. I am very disappointed. This is more like a review for someone preparing to take a final exam. The interactive portion is just part of the test taking part. There are not even chapters or presentations at all just questions with answers available.
Not up to the hype [Posted on 2007-01-03] It is very cheap software. Does not really have any leaning workshops at all. All it does is quiz you which isn't bad but definately is not worth the price.
Chem Tutor is a Grade Saver [Posted on 2007-03-25] I have two wonderful boys who do quite well in school but both have struggled with Chemistry. I think it is a difficult subject to teach and Chem Tutor seems to make a connection when sometimes a teacher or tutor was not able to. It definitely has made a full grade difference in every test and is an easy tool to use. Even at this point in the grade year it will help. (I didn't discover Chem Tutor until April of my oldest son's year in Chemistry. After struggling to get C's in chem tests all year he got A in the Organic Unit test at the end of the year after using Chem Tutor.)
So-So [Posted on 2008-05-02] I brought this program because I thought that it would give me detailed information concerning chemistry math which is what I was looking for and needed at the time. I did not find it to be very much help to me in the math section but was basically okay for the detailed chemistry section.
