not so great [Posted on 2008-07-03] i feel this item works well if you only use one thing at a time. i can sync my treo with it, but its dreadfuly slow. if i want to connect my treo using a program other than hotsync, its a big hassle trying to free up the com port. by the time i free up the com port and it get it working, it would have been literally ten times faster to get the cord.
So for me, its way faster to get the cord than it is to connect via bluetooth and the cord operates incomparably faster than the bluetooth dongle. so i find it very useless.
what they deliver is not what they picture also.
BTW. all this trouble and it is only working for me after i uninstalled the manufacturers software and ran it with the windows drivers. before that i could not get it to work properly at all.
Disgustingly disappointed. make sure you do your research before buying this.
Works Great! but light is annoying... [Posted on 2008-07-10] Everything as expected, the tiniest USB Bluetooth adapter ever. but that blinking light from the part that does stick out is overly bright, and blinks like a retard. If it actually blinks according to the usage then this product is perfect. The other poster mentioned the black electrical tape, and that solution was the perfect bandage.
Otherwise, an amazing product!
agree [Posted on 2008-07-24] Works great. Needs a way to turn off the blue LED. Also software could be a easier to connect up devices, send file to phone, etc...
Bluetooth good. Bluelight bad. [Posted on 2008-08-28] It works fine, it's nice and small and isn't annoying to have in the laptop at all times. However, I ignored the blue light complaints. As soon as I plugged this in I started laughing at myself because of how intrusive this light is. My USB port is on the side of my computer and this light is constantly blinking! It is driving me nuts and I just took it out of the box, but I can deal with it, I think... Maybe I'll open it up and disconnect the LED.
Works Well [Posted on 2008-09-01] This dongle works pretty well. It sticks out a little farther than I had anticipated but it is sturdy enough to not be a problem.
