Okay, okay, so CFS is showing its age. It still runs better than the rest of the series, which, even with high-end gaming PCs, tend to get "glitchy." The large dogfights can be a blast. As arcade-like as it may be, CFS is still the best bargain flight sim on the market in this humble PC pilot's opinion.

This is a game from the late '90's, but it is awesome if your a WW II fanatic like I am. There is NO better game for selectable reality. AS easy, or as hard as if your really a WW II pilot. I LOVE this game!

I think this game is fun but its so unrealistic. There are very few buildings, you can only find trees on airfields, Paris is just the Eiffel tower with a couple buildings around it and the rest is 2D. When you shoot a rocket there is a rocket with a big ball of fire behind it, there is no
500 lb bomb or 250 lb bomb it's just bomb. And there are only 8 aircraft.
Besides that, it's pretty cool. It has 4 great campaigns, tons of missions, and a wide variety of non-flyable planes. CFS is cheap and if you like to mess around you should get this, but if you like realistic games you should get Combat Flight Simulator 3 instead.

What I expected [Posted on 2008-08-27]
The game is older but try and find a WW2 flying game now. I dont like flying the jets, prefer the prop warplanes of WW2. easier for an old man to do. Graphics are dated but I was expecting that.
