Five star equiptment!! Sans Vista [Posted on 2007-09-19] This is a very attractive piece of equipment out of the box. The sleek silver finish is very attractive. The only design flaw is the scroll sensor on the mousepad is too small for larger fingers. The 15.4 inch screen is very bright, crisp, and pleasing to the eye. Vista is the main issue holding this computer back. It drags along and the wait times are comparable to the 175MHz computers of the 90s. It took 30 hours but I finally figured out how to downgrade to XP despite the Compaq site saying it was not possible. I found the drivers for everything and now it works like a charm. This is definitely worth the $399 price.
Nice Machine for the price [Posted on 2008-03-19] This is a nice laptop for the price. The only thing I don't like about it is the Celeron M Processor and Windows Vista. An upgrade to the slowest of the dual core cpu would be a better fit for Vista. Or the Celeron with Windows XP would be great.
