The Complete MCDBA Curriculum (Ver. II) introduces the student to the basics of Windows 2000 Network Administration and to the setting up and administering of User Accounts in Windows 2000. It provides the student with the knowledge necessary to use groups to organize user accounts. This curriculum provides the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage data storage, and with the knowledge and skills necessary to remotely administer shared folders, monitor event logs, backup and restore data. This curriculum also provides IT professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Server. Students will learn to identify the activities to be completed before installing Windows 2000; identify and perform attended installation of Windows 2000 Professional and Windows 2000 Server; identify and create answer files for the unattended installation of Windows 2000; and identify and perform the unattended installation of Windows 2000 by using Remote Installation Services, the System Preparation tool, and troubleshoot a failed installation. Other topics covered the theoretical and practical instruction in the subject of installing SQL Server 2000, an overview to SQL Server, the Transact-SQL language, and SQL Server Databases. Additionally, this curriculum will provide IT professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, manage, monitor, configure, and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, Remote Access, Network Protocols, IP Routing, and WINS in a Windows 2000 network infrastructure. Students will learn to identify DHCP concepts; identify procedures to configure, manage, and monitor DHCP servers; troubleshoot DHCP servers and clients; and configure and manage WINS servers and clients.
