Loads of laughs. A great group game! [Posted on 2008-01-18] Four of us played it last weekend and it was a blast. It's a bargain.

Trivial pursuit for wine [Posted on 2008-12-21] This game comes in a pack of cards with 50 question cards, 4 hint cards, 1 pronunciation card and 30 bottle cards (there are 5 cards for 6 different types of wines). The premise is to accumulate 1 card from each of the 6 different wines. They are white-lighter bodied, white-fuller bodied, red-lighter bodied, red-fuller bodied, sparkling & rose, and then dessert. You do it by answering questions.
This would be a great card game to leave out on a wine bar and let the patrons try to answer the questions. If you answer the question then you pick a wine card that it tells you to pick. You have the options of picking from the deck, looting your opponents wine cards, or trading. It's all quite fun and I learned quite a bit from the trivia questions.
Examples of questions are: Why are rosebushes planted in vinyards? In Portugal, the "lagar" is an important part of winemaking. What is it? In wine talk "fruity" means? "You'd be surprised how much fun you can have sober. When you get the hang of it." Jack Lemon said this in which movie? So it's facts questions, it's knowledge questions, it's trivia questions. It's just plain fun.
I can't tell the answers, you'll have to get the game to find out. LOL.
This would make a great gift for the wine enthusiast who has everything. It's a nice little stocking stuffer as well. If you have any questions about the game, ask me in the comments and I'll try to answer. I had a hard time deciding which game to get as well.
I would highly recommend this game. If not for the group then just to increase your own knowledge base about wines and winemaking.
