Fun game, old and young alike [Posted on 2007-11-24] This is a fun game. It comes with 300 or so cards, and you use 30 card per 5 player game or so, so after 10 games, you will repeat. I hope they have a booster pack, because it is alot of fun until the repeats stsrt hitting alot
So much fun!!!! [Posted on 2007-12-29] This game is great. You only need two people to play but it also makes a good party game. Any way you play though, you won't be disappointed. A must have for board game enthusiasts!
Hoopla is good fun [Posted on 2008-01-07] Hoopla is an interesting twist on the basic formula that Cranium uses in its games. Instead of competing against each other players work as a team and try to guess all of the cards in play before the timer runs out. The one downside of this game is that it is too hard for most kids under 13 or 14. But if you are playing with older teens and adults it is a lot of fun.
Only One Problem... [Posted on 2008-05-12] My one problem with this game is that there aren't enough cards (only 280) and from what I've researched, no replacement packs.
We played the entire game with a group of four people for hours on end, until we went through each card. Sadly, we had to stop, because we started getting repeats. It was really, really fun to have the freedom to choose how to act out, draw, etc. the card choice. You didn't feel so "locked" at having to come up with something like only using the clay in original cranium. It was so funny to see other people's clues and ideas, we were laughing for hours. A handful of the cards were a little difficult to figure out, but we were able to act out enough to have them guessed. Like other reviews, I'd definitely agree that high school aged and above needs to play this game because of the brain power level involved with knowing and giving the clues. A very fun evening full of laughs, good times, and hopefully in the future- more cards!
One of the Greatest Games I've Ever Played! [Posted on 2008-07-23] We played this game at a family reunion and loved it so much that we played 3 nights in a row. Even the most serious members of our family were laughing their heads off by the end of the game. Shouldn't be played with young kids however, some of the cards feature things like "Raves" or "Viagra". Great for older kids though.
