I am assuming that most of the people who gave this item a 5 star rating are either first time buyers or are completely deaf. I bought these to replace my old Microlab speakers which i got for less than half the price but were twice as good. the sound is ok but there are a few annonying problems that i did not expect from a product of this price range. first off, the bass is way to strong coming from the subwoofer and the midrange. second, there is no way of controlling the treble which is a big dissapointment cos if creative had included a treble adjustment knob i could have at least balanced out the sound quality a little bit and i probably would have given these a 3.5 instead of a 2

I thought it was good when it worked but then one day it stopped and never worked again. I try to call the Creative people but they were not help. So unless you just need it for a year don't buy it.

I purchesed these speakers about 3 years ago and have been great. They are great for the money I am now finally upgrading since i spilt water on the remote for the speakers.

i have had these for a few years now and they have been great. these are perfect for computers or basically anything that has a 3.5mm audio out jack. the bass is great and there is even a seperate control for it on the corded control. on that same control is an analog volume control which is a great add on for the price of these speakers. there is also an 3.5mm headphone jack on the corded control that mutes the speakers if headphones are inserted, saves you the hassel of having to disconnect wires to connect a pair of headphones.

i used these in my dorm room, they are alot simpler to move around than a 5.1 channel setup and have alot less wires. if you have the creative muvo( which is by far one of the best mp3 players ever) you can jack it into the usb jack on the remote which supplies power to the unit but you still have to connect the audio line into it for it to work(no usb reading capability only power). also if you turn up the volume on these speakers they are quite loud, but still clear up to a point, then the bass takes over.

these were a great buy, but over these few years of usage the volume knob on the remote is getting glitchy and is impercise now. the power adapter gets quite warm and its size usually covers up 2 slots on a power strip. they probably make a better pair now for the price i paid.

Incredible sound for the money, deep rich bass, nice looking.
2 small issues: Watch out for the rubber feet on the speakers (remove them) because they stained my desk after about 2 weeks. Also, the volume knob on the "Audio Control Pod" is dieing out. The volume fluctuates on its own, and is difficult to set. (I'm currently looking for a replacement Audio Control Pod - it'll be worth it because the overall sound and quality of the rest of the system is great.)
