Nice little speakers [Posted on 2007-08-28] They're adequate. And for the price, I'd say worth it if you're just needing speakers with a volume adjustment on them, and a plug for earphones. I do medical transcription, and I wanted both of those things for an affordable price. These work great. They aren't what I'd call fabulous speakers, but they're adequate, low profile, and accomplish what I needed them for.
Nice Basic Speakers. [Posted on 2007-11-01] These speakers are a step up from the crappy ones that comes with basic PC's. They have decent bass and treble. They won't turn your room or office into a dance studio. You'd have to pay a little bit more money for that kind of sound. Personally, I use headphones, and the sound that goes in to a good pair of them is great
If you need a quick pair of PC Speakers with good enough sound, and headphone support, then go for these.
Tremendous Value [Posted on 2008-01-27] If there was ever a "value," this is it. The quality is more than adequate for a "normal" user (can the audiophiles REALLY tell the difference?) and the price is extraordinarily low in comparison to competitors. I'd recommend this product to all but the most arrogant audiophile.
Great sounding limited space speakers [Posted on 2008-02-03] I've had these speakers for awhile and have at times been very impressed with the audio quality of a speaker in this price range. My desk top is cluttered, and the area designed for my monitor has enough room to sit these speakers just behind the edges of my flat top digital monitor.
I've used them without any trouble, and they are surprisingly loud for a total of 5 watts RMS. So for anyone other than someone recording serious digital audio, or gamers that want room shaking performance, these little beauties do the job.
Very surprised by these capable speakers [Posted on 2008-06-25] I was looking for a pair of small speakers that I could put on my desk at work and play my XM Satellite Radio through during the day. They didn't have to have enormous bass as they would be played at low volume most of the time. After reading some great reviews about these speakers - and the low cost didn't hurt - I went ahead and bought them.
I was very surprised - these are some solid speakers. The frequency response, including the bass is amazing for their size, and they have a fair amount of heft to them, thanks to the large magnets used on the speakers inside them.
They actually sound extremely good up to fairly high volumes. They are best used as close-field monitors (i.e. where they are reasonably close to you, like on a desk), as they do not have room-filling sound - but that's exactly what they're designed for.
You can spend a lot more money, but you'll easily spend four or five times as much before you get better sounding speakers. Recommended!
