The concept is bizarre: a curious monkey lives in New York City with the currator of a museum; the currator always wears yellow and treats the monkey as somewhat of a surrogate child. They have many interesting adventures, including some that take place at a country home near a lake.

Even so; this is my three year old boy's favorite show, and this DVD makes it possible for him to watch it anytime he wants. This is good, educational, nonviolent television that is funny and cute for kids and adults.

What can you say about Curious George he is just awesome!!!! I grew up on the orginal series but this PBS remake is so much better. George is depicted as a curious monkey eager to learn and not as michevious. My son is 2 and has every single Curious George video PBS has sold thus far (and there's another one coming out in February 2008--got to get it!!!). George will have kids laughing and learning at the same time. You could watch the DVD's a million times and they never get old. You can't help but love Curious George. I highly recommend it.

I bought this for my grandbaby. She is barely 2 years old and very bright. She loves this video and asks for it daily. It's very wholesome. I enjoy watching it with her.

It works well and stands up to a lot of playing time.

This video is great- I think there are about 10 episodes- definately plenty for long car trips. These episodes are taken from PBS and are the ones currently running. They are very high quality shows and don't bore the adults to tears on the 30th viewing like many children's shows & movies do. Another plus- none of the singing and dancing that is all too common in children's programming!
